How to Clean Up Spilt Scentsy Wax

How to Clean Up Spilt Scentsy WaxAre you asking How to Clean Up Spilt Scentsy Wax?  I have and found it’s really simple!  We remodelled our kitchen and living room this past year and I finally got rid of our old faded curtains and got brand new curtains.  I had my Scentsy Warmer on an end table against a wall, completely out of the way.  I thought it was safe but one day I glance over and it’s tipped over jammed in between the wall and the end table leaving spilt Scentsy wax all down my brand new curtains!!  How frustrating!  First off, how in the world did it get knocked over?? Do I blame the kids or the dog??

There are a couple different ways people say to clean up spilt wax.  What I did was took the curtains down and then on the ironing board I put a paper towel over the wax and then ironed over it.  The iron melts the wax again and the paper towel absorbs it right up!  Worked like a charm!  The wax was also on our hard wood so I put the paper towel on the wax again and then used a hair dryer to heat the wax. Again the paper towel soaked it right up and it left no mark!  So simple!!

For carpeting I would use an iron again.  A friend spilt wax down her wall when she was taking out her plug-in.  She used a paper towel and hair dryer too and was really impressed with how easily it cleaned up.  If the candle wax that left the stain was colored, pour a tiny amount of rubbing alcohol on a clean cloth and softly daub the spot.

Have you heard of a different technique?  I would love to hear about any other ways people have cleaned up their spilt wax.  Let me know if this works for you!

How do you get the wax off the actual warmer? My kids spilled it on the bottom of the ceramic dish that you put the melts in and then on the actual black warmer plate. Please help!

Put your ceramic dish in the freezer for about 5 to 7 mins. When you take it out you could use something like a plastic knife lighting over the wax and it will come right off. I had to do that to my ceramic Scentsy wall plug it worked like a charm.
